CTF Competition 2026

A team-based ethical-hacking competition where participants solve security challenges (forensics, web, crypto, binary, networking, etc.) to earn points.

You can register through the official CTF sign-up form on this webpage. Click Register Your Team and provide the following information:

• Team name
• Team leader’s contact information
• Full names of all team members

Teams must consist of 2–3 members from the same high school, college, or university. All team members must use their official school email address during registration.

Only currently enrolled high school, college, or university students are eligible. All participants must present a valid student ID during check-in, and all team members must be from the same school.

Entry to the competition lab requires a valid student ID. No ID = no access. Contact organizers before the event if there is a special circumstance.

No. All participants must use WUST lab computers provided in the SOC Lab.

Lab machines are preconfigured with challenge files, tools, and network isolation to ensure fairness and security.

External storage and personal devices are not allowed unless explicitly approved by organizers.

Competition network access will be provided. Assume unrestricted internet unless specified otherwise.

Yes. Attending at least one official CTF training session is mandatory for every team. A free ethical hacking training workshop will be offered between January and February 2026.

Contact organizers. Alternative arrangements may be provided (such as a recording or makeup session), but attendance rules are enforced.

No. Only registered team members may enter. Limited viewing areas may be available outside the lab.

Changes must be approved before the competition starts, and the new member must show a valid student ID.

Yes — free parking is available for participants.

Snacks and drinks will be available. Follow all lab food/drink rules.

Yes. Contact organizers ahead of time for specific accommodations.

The official rules and scoring system will be posted with the challenge release.

Points are awarded per solved challenge. Some may be dynamic/scaled. A live scoreboard may be available.

Professional, ethical conduct is required. Violations may lead to disqualification.

Examples: using personal devices, compromising infrastructure, collaborating with outsiders, refusing ID checks, violating conduct rules.

Some challenges may provide hints or tiered hint systems. Check challenge pages or ask proctors.

On-site proctors and lab support staff will be available. Report issues immediately.

Yes — top 3 teams will receive prizes and recognition.

Yes. Winners may appear on WUST website/social media. Notify organizers if you have privacy concerns.

Yes. This is an educational, legal event supervised by WUST in isolated lab environments.

Report it immediately. Intentional/reckless damage may lead to sanctions and financial responsibility.

Organizers usually publish write-ups or a challenge summary after the event.
